Should we reward Sundae token holders by adding a 2.5 ADA swap fee for distribution?

I love this idea but like others I think the scooper fee should be cut rather than a further increases in fees.

Hello? The whole point of this discussion is for (after!) The farming period expires

Yeah the reality is… the main team already suggested interest in making the sundae token be used to reduce fees for transactions.

Keep in mind, the SS team is vested. Without a shadow of a doubt you will see proposals similiar to this one in the very near future; likely even better.

In short, vested team members have a huge incentive… hell they probably already have this idea cooked up tbh wit you.

All in all… sundae token will 100% have a utility
Without question… guys its an AMM Dex
Falling short on your liquidity providers is not an option. That = failure

Believe me… stack that sundae
Party hasnt even started

No. The whole point of a DAO is that it is up to the community to decide upon and vote on these mechanisms. The platform has a ton of liquidity, and this fee does not hurt liquidity providers at all. What we need is volume, and volume is going to start pouring out of our ecosystem and into other Cardano DEXs who already implement profit sharing, because people will be trading their platform tokens.

I think the 2.5 ADA is too much.

The idea of a fee to offer profit sharing to $ holders and utility is sound, and I agree with the arguments of both camps. I think a % fee rather than a fixed 2.5ADA, would be best, for the latter is indiscriminate whereas the former is proportionated to trade size, therefore, whales get whales’ fee, small investors get, well! Smaller fees. I hope this makes sense

great idea! i love it! SS is a leadiing project in cardano ecosystem and SS token holders must be appreciated!

wrong! SS token holders must be appreciated, period! SS dex will develop faster and better with a strong community of hodlers

no it is not, its just fine!

It could just be 2.5% of your total swap value if you are under a certain amount. And 2.5 ADA on anything over that amount. I don’t think that would cripple anyone or deter them. Also could eliminate a ‘swap fee to SUNDAE holders’ for any trade under 50 ADA. Then the small guy doesn’t get hurt and larger swaps won’t really care to pay 2.5 ADA. Compare this to ETH or most other DEX and it’s peanuts.

I did and voted yes. This is just the temperature check, so it’s not the final say. The 2.5 ADA increase can be worked around if scoopers are willing to only get 1.25 ada per scoop. If they disagree change the scoopers to single pool operators like they did with the Reverse ISPO, they will be more than happy with just 1 ada honestly.

I really like this idea and think it will help Sundae token holders a lot. I also like how the fee amount can still be restructured to something like what was discussed in the discord. LFG SundaeSwappers!

As a Sundae token holder, I would love if this proposal went through.

So a regular Joe uses SundaeSwap to buy some DANA with ADA for example, and he MUST part with 5 previous ADA tokens as a fee? This sounds like an incredibly bad deal…

For a person that regularly invests a small amount of money, this is complete insanity! Personally, I hate the 2.5 ADA fee and find it very restraining and anti-every day-swap (hope it is really a temporary thing as they have said).

This is not the Cardano DeFi I envisioned if that becomes the case, I will not use SundaeSwap ever.

NO!

This is definitely understandable sentiment but I would say that if you want to develop a strong DEX, you cannot base it on 50 ADA transactions, at least not in the beginning. I definitely agree that the entry cost for swapping should not grow too much to exclude users with small funds but there will be also other platforms that might focus on these small transactions specifically (perhaps Minswap, Muesliswap?). I.e. targeting exactly the small fees and frequent small swaps. That would provide enough space and opportunities for other DEXes. On the other hand, if SS users continue to grow and the majority will consider removing this feature a better option, there will be no way to stop that… I must say I was considering myself to drop all my sundae rewards because of insufficient incentives to keep it while it slides down. This would make me reconsider.
